Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
The Hope Center [ www.HopeRLC.org ] opened in April of 2011 and has
rich support group offerings but also has a large need for volunteers
to help with groups, information teachnology, computer and GED and
college level instruction, clerical work and other projects.

We provide hope to people diagnosed with mental illness and believe
everyone has something to offer our community. We are especially
strong at helping people with disabilities go back to work of their
own choosing and are exploring ways of helping people start their own
businesses.

We are also the newest recovery center of the Metro Boston Recovery
Learning Community www.mbrlc.org which operate three other recovery
centers and a warmline where peers can call other peers for support
and information over the phone. We also maintain a national directory
of warmlines at www.warmline.org

NAMI GB CAN (Consumer Advocacy/Affiliate Network) www.namigbcan.org is
a membership organization which does support, education and
advocacy. We are active with the In Our Own Voice speakers initiative
which trains people to tell their recovery stories in public. We also
have a number of NAMI Connection support groups. Many of our members
help staff the Hope Center.

The mission of Metro Boston Recovery Learning Community is to offer
peer-to-peer services for people in recovery from mental health and/or
substance abuse issues, through the utilization of peer support,
advocacy, referral, education, career coaching and job readiness in a
trauma-sensitive and person-centered manner.

Everyone who enters our Recovery Centers is welcome and becomes an
instant member. All Recovery Center services, groups, classes and
activities are without charge.

Our goal is to listen to the needs and desires of our community
members and then to provide specific groups, classes, and activities
based on their input, while staying within our budget. We encourage
our community members to volunteer; we then hire our volunteers into
paid jobs, if the person has the right skill-sets, when jobs become
available.
